Description
A luminous oil on canvas of lilacs and spring blooms gathered in a cut-glass vase, signed L. Guy and dated 1920. Painted in France just after the Great War, this romantic still life carries both vibrancy and quietude. The thick, textured petals glow against a deep ground, a style that echoes the French salon tradition of the early 20th century.
Set in its original gilt frame and marked with an exhibition plate No. 264, this piece almost certainly hung in a French salon a century ago. A soulful, one-of-a-kind artwork—large enough to anchor a mantel, sideboard, or gallery wall.
Oil on canvas, 18 x 24” (46 x 61 cm). Original gilt frame with age wear consistent with history. Ready to hang.

You order is shipped from our location in Calgary Alberta, Canada. We aim to have all packages out our door within 1-3 business days.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Your order will be shipped using courier [Canada Post, UPS, Purolator,etc] however, depending on your distance from us or if border crossing is involved orders will take between 3 and 10 business days to arrive. (Saturday and Sunday are not business days for mail in Canada)
We do not currently ship or deliver large items such as furniture.

Can I return my item?
New items can be returned within 14 days of receipt for exchange or store credit. All other items including vintage and seasonal are considered final sale. Please look carefully at photos and descriptions to avoid any disappointment with regards to size or condition.
