Step back into the late Victorian brewing era with this authentic antique stoneware ginger beer bottle, embossed:
“T. Gildred & Co. / Hope Street Brewery / Swinton.”
Crafted in the classic two-tone style with a warm caramel glaze over a buff stoneware body, this piece reflects the sturdy, utilitarian design used to safely store carbonated drinks like ginger beer and mineral water before glass bottling was common. The rounded “blob-top” neck would have originally been sealed with a cork and wire, ensuring freshness and fizz.
Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century (c. 1880–1910), this bottle is a fine example of regional brewing history from Swinton, England. The embossed brewery name and location add both charm and provenance, making it a desirable piece for collectors of antique stoneware, brewery memorabilia, or those who love decorating with storied utilitarian wares.
A wonderful display piece for shelves, bar carts, or rustic kitchen vignettes — bringing with it the spirit of a bygone brewing tradition.

You order is shipped from our location in Calgary Alberta, Canada. We aim to have all packages out our door within 1-3 business days.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Your order will be shipped using courier [Canada Post, UPS, Purolator,etc] however, depending on your distance from us or if border crossing is involved orders will take between 3 and 10 business days to arrive. (Saturday and Sunday are not business days for mail in Canada)
We do not currently ship or deliver large items such as furniture.

Can I return my item?
New items can be returned within 14 days of receipt for exchange or store credit. All other items including vintage and seasonal are considered final sale. Please look carefully at photos and descriptions to avoid any disappointment with regards to size or condition.
If for some reason you are not satisfied with your purchase we are happy to accept the return of any new item in the exact condition in which it was received. Please contact us to receive return address information.
The buyer remains responsible for the costs to return any item. Please package the item in the manner it was sent to you.
