Antique English Cottage Landscape Original Watercolour Painting – Alexander Molyneux Stannard, Framed British Country Art

Antique English Cottage Landscape Original Watercolour Painting – Alexander Molyneux Stannard, Framed British Country Art

A beautiful original watercolour by listed British artist Alexander Molyneux Stannard (1878–1975), depicting a peaceful English countryside scene with traditional thatched cottages, a winding country lane and a solitary figure beneath a magnificent old tree.

Rendered in a soft palette of earthy browns, muted greens and warm golden tones, the painting beautifully captures the romance of rural England.

Stannard was known for his atmospheric landscapes and traditional English country scenes. His delicate use of watercolour and attention to the natural landscape are wonderfully represented in this work.

Signed by the artist in the lower left corner and presented in a traditional gilt frame with a generous ivory mat.

A timeless piece of original British art, lovely displayed above a mantel, antique sideboard or in a country-inspired interior.
