Antique European Oil Painting on Wood Panel – Woman at Work

A charming antique European oil painting depicting a seated woman engaged in traditional handwork. Dressed in a vibrant red blouse, white apron, and bonnet, she sits in a softly lit interior with a large straw hat resting across her lap. The rich colours, delicate details, and dark background are reminiscent of traditional Dutch and Flemish genre paintings.

Painted on wood panel and housed in an ornate gilt frame with beautiful floral and scrollwork detailing. The frame displays age-related wear, including an area of damage at the upper corner, adding to its timeworn appearance.

A lovely petite piece for a gallery wall, bookshelf, or intimate corner of the home.
