This evocative antique French brass tea urn dates to the late 19th or early 20th century and is offered without lid, allowing its beautifully aged form and original interior details to be fully appreciated.

Traditionally used to dispense hot water for tea service in a French home or salon, the urn is crafted in solid brass and features elegant side handles and a finely detailed brass spigot with wonderful decorative character. Inside, it retains its original perforated internal plate, once designed to support a small spirit burner beneath the water chamber.

The interior shows mineral deposits and signs of long use, an honest reflection of its working life and age. The exterior has developed a rich, warm patina, softened over time and full of depth and character. The body is stamped with an early Continental maker’s mark, consistent with late 19th–early 20th century French brassware.

Today, this piece is best appreciated as a decorative object, ideal for styling on a kitchen island, sideboard, or open shelving. It pairs beautifully with ironstone, wood, linen, and other collected European antiques, bringing a sense of history and quiet elegance to any space.

A timeless and sculptural antique that embodies French country charm, utility, and restraint.
