 A beautiful 19th-century French terracotta confit pot, once used in the sun-drenched kitchens of southern France to preserve duck or goose confit before refrigeration. Hand-thrown with softly curved handles and an unglazed, timeworn surface, this vessel tells the quiet story of age and use — the warmth of hearth and cellar.

 The interior and rim retain traces of their original dark glaze, a contrast to the matte, pale clay body touched by centuries of wear. Perfect as a rustic accent on open shelving, or as a vessel for dried branches or wooden utensils.
