Antique French S&G “Flowers” Terre de Fer Plates, c.1890 — Set of 5

A beautiful set of five antique French Terre de Fer plates by S&G, featuring the charming “Flowers” pattern. Delicate blue transferware depicts birds amongst flowering branches, grasses and butterflies against a softly aged cream ground.

Dating to the late 19th century, circa 1890, each plate bears the S&G anchor and floral “Flowers” backstamp along with the Terre de Fer mark. Lovely age-related crazing and variations in the transfer add to their antique appeal.

Beautiful displayed together on a plate wall, tucked into a hutch, or layered into a collection of antique French ceramics.
