A beautiful Georgian fall-front bureau, dating to approximately c. 1780–1820. The fall-front opens to create a generous writing surface, revealing a fitted interior with small drawers, pigeonholes and graceful arched compartments.
Four drawers below offer plenty of storage, with traditional brass hardware completing the piece. Finished in a soft, timeworn blue-green paint with areas of natural wear and earlier colour showing through.
A wonderfully practical antique that would be equally lovely used as a writing desk or as a decorative piece in a bedroom, sitting room or entryway.
27” W × 42” H × 17” D
