Antique Swedish Mora Clock – Cream & Gilt, c. 1820–1850

A beautiful 19th-century Swedish Mora clock, featuring an elegant, curved silhouette and wonderfully ornate decorative detailing.

Originating from the Mora region of Sweden, these distinctive longcase clocks were traditionally handcrafted and became a cherished feature of Scandinavian country homes.

This particularly lovely example features a soft, aged cream finish accented with warm gilded details. Decorative sunburst rosettes, delicate tassel swags, carved rope-twist borders and an elaborate surround framing the circular pendulum window reflect the influence of Gustavian design.

The beautifully aged clock face, gentle wear and timeworn patina add to its appeal, making it a striking statement piece for a country home or European-inspired interior.
