A beautiful pair of traditional French baker’s bannetons, once used for resting and shaping bread dough before baking. Hand-formed from coiled natural rattan, their ridged interiors leave the classic pattern found on rustic country loaves. Years of flour dusting and use have created a wonderful pale, timeworn patina — a lovely reminder of everyday French kitchen traditions.
Perfect displayed stacked on open shelving, holding linens, or styled alongside ironstone and antique kitchen pieces.
Origin: France Era: Vintage, likely mid–late 20th century Material: Natural rattan/cane Condition: Authentic age and use marks, flour residue, natural wear.
