A charming collection of three antique English apothecary pots, dating to the late Victorian and early Edwardian periods, circa 1880–1910.

Once used to hold medicinal ointments and salves, these little earthenware pots feature beautifully detailed transfer-printed advertising for Holloway’s Ointment, Clarke’s Miraculous Salve and Dr. Roberts’ Poor Man’s Friend.

Each offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of English apothecaries, with decorative lettering, original advertising and the lovely imperfections that come with more than a century of age.

Wonderful little pieces of history, perfect for displaying amongst antique bottles, old books and collected curiosities.
