A romantic early 20th-century European jardinière, marked Old Paris V.S.M – Made in Saar Basin.
Rendered in a soft warm ivory with gently molded sides, this piece features a classic fruit basket motif — grapes, peaches, and florals — symbolizing abundance and old-world hospitality. The hand-applied gilt trim along the rim and handles adds a subtle warmth, beautifully complementing brass and layered ironstone.
Complete with its matching underplate, it makes a lovely centerpiece for a dining table, kitchen island, or styled vignette.
Perfect for:
• Spring bulbs or paperwhites
• Moss and trailing ivy
• A French-inspired fruit display
• Layered shelf styling
Dimensions:
6.25” H x 11” W
Light age-appropriate crazing and gentle wear to the gilding consistent with age. No major flaws noted.
A charming, collected piece that brings quiet European elegance into the home.
